After a Student Suicide (Toolkit)

The occurrence of a suicide within a school community has a profound impact on staff, students, and families. Some individuals may find it challenging to deal with the situation, and the entire community may grapple with the appropriate response. In a state of shock, school administrators may feel uncertain about the necessary steps to take. The Centre for Suicide Prevention has created a toolkit to provide practical guidance to schools in the immediate aftermath, days and weeks that follow a student's suicide.
